The Nine pulls ahead after a slow start to win this game 12-6.
Game Stats
MR MVP: Hoarmurath (5-2)
MR MCP: Alperri (0-2)
Ref's MVP: Hoarmurath (5-2)
Quote of the Match:
Khamul killed by: Matt -- Assist by: KyleC.
Kill Time: 06:17
Khamul has 2 lives remaining
Score: TIED 1-1 -- [4v4]
Matt> there's your 0-3 soul
Soul P+> still plenty of time for you to MCP
Soul P+> :(
Matt> yep
This game started out with the customary 5 minute feel out period for both teams. Masterlord (also known as Hoarmurath) aced KyleC. to start out the scoring. The first 10 minutes had both teams trading the role of offense and defense. The game stayed tight with Fighting Foodons, led by blur, effectively counter attacking the over zealous plays of The Nine. Masterlord wasn't done however. In under a 3 minute span, he came up with 2 big kills of Alperri, which put him out. From this point, Fighting Foodons couldn't overcome the 4-3 barrage and eventually lost 12-6.

I had some thought of doing flash rankings, and indeed i was close to having nelson do it, but we came to the conclusion that all the info gathered was just to much to fit into a flash. So here they are, the text version of the rankings .
The system used for these rankings are as follwed. They are if you have noticed the same as the rankings done by the council of 7. I liked the format used so i just went with it
Four cateogories each ranked to a maximum of 10.
Spec rating - how good of a show you put on for those on 8025.
Choke rating - the higher the rating the more likely someone thinks you'll choke it up in big games.
Kill rating - the type of producer you are in games. Are you a killing machine, or a lame litle puppy .
Teamwork rating - this consists of assisting on kills, good timing with your teamates, and reading, anticipating situations to draw reps and kills with your team.
All 4 cateogories will be displayed in thie exact order of spec/choke/kill/teamwork. Then of course comes the game styles your peers think you bring to each game. Be it offensive play, defensive play, or middle. Comments are made on individual pilots from whom the rankers know.
Their are a bit over 40 players ranked. The top 4 pilots frome each of the top 10 squads. Rankers had the option of interchanging players from different teams if they wished to rank someone else on that team. So in total there are a bit over 40 players :X. I've orginized this by team, so it will be easier to find yourself lmao, or players your interested in reading up on.
So without further ado here they are in alphabetical order
BAD
BRONX
Miner - 8/4/7/9/off - Bad's most avg player by far but tends to to lose his calm under heavy fire
Big Banger - 7/4/7/7/off - Player has great skills and can really be a top finisher - Big Banger
Ace - 8/3/8/6/off
Blur - 9/7/7/7/off - One of the craziest players in the league, he has low self-esteem or something so always goes suicidal, but pulls it off most of the time
Plutorous - 8/7/7/4/off
Matt - 6/6/7/8/mid
Pushead - 6/3/8/5/off - Bronx's worst enemies are his temper and general apathy towards the game
Falsehood
Ace - Falsehood - 3/5/5/7 mid
Miner - 7/2/5/9/def - Bad's best dueler, if i was asked about false at the beginning of the season i wouldnt have put him on the best 4. duelers and 4v4 players dont mix but he has proven me wrong
Big Banger - 7/4/7/7/Off - player has great skills and can really be a top finisher
Matt - 8/6/7/6/mid - Pretty good player. Has hot and cold streaks, so it depends what day you catch him as to how good he'll be. Decent moves and position.
Blur - 6/5/8/8/mid - false is a great dueler with good aim. most of the time he stays alive longer than his teammates and continues to make plays
Plutorous - 4/6/5/5/mid
Pushead - 4/2/6/7/mid
Imperfection
Ace - 5/8/6/5/def
Miner - 8/8/4/4/mid - imp is very rusty this season and has played horrible the last few games for bad he needs to pull up or he will get targeted in playoffs
Big Banger - 8/8/5/2/Mid - impy can be great at times but tends to solo and dive into the pack to much which leads him to burn reps alot
Matt - 9/8/7/5/off. All-out aggression on 1024 res can lead to some ugly situations, but Imp has the aim to make it fly if he has a good supporting cast.
Blur - 7/8/7/6/mid
Plutorous - 8/5/6/7/mid - high spec rating because he lags so hard =)
Pushead - 6/8/5/4/off
esidebob - 8/5/9/7/off - Imp sometimes turns into an impatient solo gun, but has a nice aim.
Klown
Ace - 3/8/5/4/mid
Miner - 6/4/5/7/mid - could be doing a lot better I don't see him log on to play unless its in wz it could prove a burden if he enters the playoffs like that
Big Banger - 4/4/5/6/Off - klown is a hard mother to kill but it could be his lag at times deffiantle a defensive player
Matt - 6/6/7/8/mid
Blur - 5/6/8/7/mid - player with experience and a cool head
Pushead - 4/4/6/6 mid - Certainly didn't play up to par this season... lag issues overshadowed his performance
esidebob - 7/5/8/8/mid
Ballistics
Ace
Ace - 4/7/5/6/mid (makes you look bad ranking yourself ace!)
Miner - 5/7/6/9/mid - balls might not lag enough or may suck individually but if it has something great its the teamwork ace has pro exp and knows how to lead his team
Big Banger - 4/7/7/7/mid - Playing against ace now for like ages now i find that when he pracs he is thier ancor...if ace is doing well, then that will lead to others to feed off him
Matt - 7/7/6/8mid - A fairly decent player who is a good first sub for Balls. Sometimes gets out of position more than other Balls players, making him a target. Decent aim. Like him better in a spider than a warbird.
Blur - 4/7/6/8/def - not one of the come and fuck you up players on BALLS, but he holds down his position and works off dantos well. often cloaks which adds to his teamwork rating
Plutorous - 5/4/7/9/mid - Backbone of Ballistics, the spine
Pushead - 4/6/6/7/mid - Ace's effectiveness has improved in his new role as a cloaker
esidebob - 7/6/7/8 mid
Plutorous
Ace - 5/2/6/9/mid
Miner - 7/3/6/10/def - he may lack in the killing department but it will be very hard seeing him die twice in a game.
Big Banger - plut 5/4/6/8/mid
Matt - 8/6/8/8/mid - one of the more solid players for Ballistics, Plut can usually be counted on to keep the team together and do a lot of damage. Nothing flashy, just a solid, positional player. Tough to kill.
Blur - 5/4/6/8/def - Another support player who stays alive well and has good patience
Plutorous - 3/3/6/8/mid (omg you ranked yourself just liek ace :X)
Pushead - 3/2/4/8/def
esidebob - 6/5/7/8/mid
Dantos
Ace - 10/3/9/7/off
Miner - 9/4/7/8/mid - balls best player in my opinion, he knows when to dodge, take hits for his team or skim bombs. an all rounded player
Big Banger - 2/3/5/8 - defensive dants lag is his key weapon because without it he would be ez to kill
Matt - 7/5/7/8/mid - Dantos is a lag machine.
Blur - 7/3/8/8/mid - Balls best player but also most lagged. He will beat you throughout the game rather than an instant burst of offense
Plutorous - 7/3/8/8/mid - Balls best player but also most lagged. He will beat you throughout the game rather than an instant burst of offense
Pushead - 7/2/7/3/off
Esidebob - 8/3/8/9/def - The backbone of Ballistics - when
Dantos is not there, their game usually seems a bit shaky. Solid
Demoral
Ace - 6/7/8/6/off
Miner - 5/9/7/8/mid - demerol is a wild card he can either perform great or die out really quickly(ie: see bad)
Big Banger - 3/5/5/7/mid - dem is either hot or not he is never just consistent.
Matt - 8/8/7/7/off - Demoral is an aggressive player, but on Balls this can work to his detriment as evidenced by his multiple choke-outs. Has good aim but I question his tactical decisions considering who he plays with.
Blur - 6/8/7/7/mid - had some choking problems early on; seems like the player to target out of balls top 4
Plutorous - 6/7/7/7/mid
Pushead - 6/3/8/7/off - demerol and Dantos are wholly responsible for turning Ballistics into a competitor this season
esidebob - 7/9/7/7 off - Demerol kills a lot and dies a lot. Had
a convincing start to the season, but has since lost some of his
Creation
Savage
Ace - 5/7/8/7/off
Miner - 7/5/8/7/mid - Well what can I say my number 1 pick for aml player last season is having a lot of problems coping with iml but fortunately he's getting a grasp on it
Big Banger - 7/6/8/6/off - if sav gets people to push with him and stay agrresive with him he can do some damage...
Matt - 8/7/8/7/off - Savage is the cog that makes Creation win or lose. If Savage has a good game, they can beat anyone. If he has a bad game, they can lose to anyone. Good position and aim.
Blur - 5/5/6/7/mid - played extremely well in a breakout season last season; but has trailed off in iml with the addition of better teammates and better opponents. alot of potential, good dueler with good aim
Plutorous - 5/5/6/6mid
Pushead - 4/4/6/7/mid - Captaining the squad while starting consistently took a toll on Savage's dexterity towards the latter part of the season
Sixth
Ace - 4/4/5/7/mid
Miner - 5/5/8/6/def - just like chrono, sixth can play as a bird or a weasel and can do equally well on both
Big Banger - 6th 7/3/7/7/off - i think sixth is creations key to winning and he is a tough mother to kill
Matt - 7/7/8/6/off - I personally believe sixth is a bit overrated, but he does have decent aim, got to give him that. Seems to be one of these guys who plays fine for 12 minutes, then does something incredibly stupid. Kind of like me!
Blur - 4/5/5/7/mid - i've yet to play against him in a match situation, but he seems inconsitent. pretty good weasel capable of making plays
Plutorous - 5/6/6/5 middle
Pushead - 4/5/5/6/def - After a rough start sixth adopted a more hesitant style of play
Esidebob - 8/7/9/7 off
Dont talk to me
Ace - 3/4/5/5/off
Miner - 7/5/7/7/off - Good pickup from dissent, dont talk is one of creations main offense this season.
Big Banger - 4/4/6/7/mid - is a solid consistent player
Blur - 5/4/7/6/mid - seems like creation's best player this season but thats a title that comes and goes. he's versatile and has good aim
Plutorous - 7/6/7/7/mid
Pushead - 6/6/6/5/off
I hate the wind
Ace - 3/3/4/7/def
Miner - 5/3/5/8/def - a lot of ppl underrate i hate the wind but just like pluturos or omis he's one of those players you can trust in OT
Matt - 7/4/7/8.mid - Windy is great team glue, in that when he's in the squad looks more cohesive. Rarely chokes and plays well in big games. I like this guy's style.
Super.fly
Big Banger - 4/5/7/6 - super has been better then good in the past but i have not seen him play much this season...
Pushead - 6/3/8/3/off
DukeHazard
Blur - 5/6/5/6/mid - seems to play odd ships and that might hurt him against the top teams unless he absolutely owns in them. his warbird play has seemed mediocre
Plutorous - 3/5/5/6/mid
Dissent
Revue
Ace - 8/3/8/7/off
Miner - 6/4/10/8/off - chrono is a killing machine but sometimes he has the dumbest deaths ever. he can perform equally in a bird or weasel
Big Banger - 8/4/9/6/off - revue is a flat out killer with people or without...he gets killed usually when he pushes solo
Matt - 8/5/8/8/mid - Popular opinion on my squad is that Revue is the best player Dissent has. I think he's pretty good, but not flashy at all. Keeps his head in the game and makes opportunities.\
Blur - 6/2/8/8/mid - he's got great aim, big game experience and knows how to get out of trouble. he's already become the best player in pb, so his potential is really unlimited. best player on dissent from our match
Plutorous - 5/4/8/8/mid - Dissent's best player
Pushead - 6/1/9/7/mid - Leathal and esidebob's only real competition for best all-around pilot in IML
Miner
Ace - 8/3/8/7/off
Big Banger - 5/2/6/6/def - miner tends to solo sometimes which i get on his ass about but normally a solid player that hardly ever chokes
Matt - 7/4/7/4/off - The numbers I gave Miner don't do him justice. He is strong with intangibles. Pulls kills out of nowhere and is a force with his lag. Would be a strong addition to any IML team.
Blur - 7/2/8/7/mid - he's lagged as hell and knows how to win. deadly combo
Plutorous - 3/3/4/7.def
Pushead - 4/2/8/6/mid - Miner's unique lag and adequate piloting ability make him a very formidable opponent
Omis
Ace - 8/1/9/8/mid
Miner - 4/2/4/7/def - Omis is one of those players you can trust a 1 life slot in an OT game, its very hard for him to die once in a game
Matt - 7/6/8/7/mid - Omis is a solid all-around threat for Dissent. He's had his moments of weakness this season, but who hasn't, really? Talks the talk, but can walk it pretty well, also.
Blur - 3/5/6/7/mid - good with guns and good at supporting his teammates and knowing the opponents energy. seems a little inconsistent as far as going from playing well to mediocre
Pushead - 3/3/5/6/def
Esidebob - 6/3/7/9/def - Not particularly flashy alone, but very
solid and always there to back up the rest of the team.
Fatal
Big Banger - 4/4/5/8/mid - fatal is more of a finisher and tends to clean up other peoples kills...basically a thief
Miner - 6/4/7/7 middle. although he started playing in the season late he was a much needed boost for dissent to perform beyond good and well he tanks like a motherfucker
Matt - 7/5/7/7/mid
Cfl
Esidebob - 8/8/8/8/off
Pushead - 5/4/5/4/off - Hasn't been on top of his game for a few seasons now
CookieM
Blur - 4/7/7/3/def - jav running off screen then smacking you with bombs or chasing you down. he sometimes detracts from the team as a whole, but if you have 3 others who can handle it, he's definitely an asset. a little chokey in past experience
Plutorous - 7/8/7/5/mid - Plays like almost nobody else in league, might be frustrating for teammates, hit and run...inconsistent lately, but has alot of postgame exp
Fighting Foodoons
Blur
Ace - 3/2/4/7/mid
Miner - 8/5/6/8/mid - along with matt they form the best duo in IML this season they just need to get a 4th who can survive and they will go far in playoffs
Matt - 8/5/9/7 off. Blur is an offensive juggernaut who starts the match with his cock in your throat and doesn't let up unless you kill him. It looks like he's not with the team, but he's constantly pushing the enemy where he wants them. If you don't punch him in the mouth early, it will be a long game.
Plutorous - 6/4/7/8/mid
Pushead - 4/3/5/7/mid - Dissappointing season left Foodons with a shadow of the former Pro pilot
EsideBob - 8/6/8/8/mid - Has not been showing his best this
season, but has the potential.
Matt
Ace - 5/2/4/7/mid
Miner - 8/6/8/7/off - matt's been playing lately with a weasel which compliments well enough with uss evader's weasel and blurs cover fire
Plutorous - Matt 6/6/5/6/mid
Pushead - 3/6/5/7/mid
Evader
Ace - 5/2/4/7/mid
Miner - 10/7/8/4/off - After watching him last season in aml and this season in iml i can safely say that evader has surpassed me on the lag scale but he's underachieving this season it seems he can't handle the lag yet
Matt - 9/6/8/5/off. Debatably the most lagged individual to ever play Subspace, USS Evader is underrated for this reason. 99% consistent to get kills and stay alive, the two most important things in league, it's hard to fault him, except that he will leave his team to die sometimes.
Plutorous - 7/5/8/7/mid - tied with dantos, best lagger in iml
Pushead - 7/3/8/6/off - A pillar of strength in an otherwise mediocre group of pilots
Esidebob - 8/4/8/8/mid
Trauma
Ace - 3/5/4/5/def
Miner - 5/6/6/8/mid - I wonder why foodons bench trauma, its clear that hes the 4th they need other than that I can't say much about him since he hasn't play all that much
Plutorous - 6/6/7/7 middle: Has trouble with ex-bosses
Pushead - 5/3/7/7/mid
Kusma
Matt - 7/8/7/6/off - Kusma is an aggressive player who won't back down, but his positional skills can be a detriment. If you let him push you around, he can dominate. Against top-tier players, however, this doesn't work and he dies often.
In Flames
Shiny
Ace - 6/7/9/8/off
Miner - 8/8/6/6/def - shiny used to be A LOT better even when he would try to throw a thor at me but missing and ended up throwing me a decoy, fun times. anyway shiny has put up a good euro squad although he needs to calm down while playing to avooid
Matt - 7/6/7/7/mid
Blur - 5/4/6/6/mid - kinda lagged, but solid
Plutorous - 6/5/7/7/mid - Plays good tw
Pushead - 5/5/6/7/mid - The Captain
Esidebob - 4/3/7/9/def - Shiny is a defensive player to the heart. He plays very conservative, but still effectively joins his team in the offense. Probally well suited for slow playoff-style games.
Rifle
Ace - 3/5/6/6/mid
Miner - 7/6/9/7off - IF's main offense and one of the best weasels in IML this season if he can lag like me maybe dissent could take him in
Matt - 8/7/8/6/off - One of the reasons IF is where they are is rifle. An accurate weasel (who looks pretty helpless in a warbird) who can push most of the other team around by himself. Needs work on his teamwork.
Blur - 4/5/7/7/mid - good team player
Plutorous - 7/5/7/7/mid - Teamwork + lag
Pushead - 7/4/7/6/off - The artillery
Esidebob - 8/5/8/8 - The IF version of the explosive weasel. Very important for the team's offence
Ra
Ace - 6/4/6/6 off
Miner - 7/8/8/7/off - Ra is very weird he usually plays very well but sometimes dies out in the worst moments, regardless of this he's one of the reasons IF is where they are
Matt - 7/5/7/7/off
Blur - 5/5/8/7/mid - kills alot, dies alot though too; best player on if
Pushead - 6/4/8/7/mid - The anchor
Esidebob - 8/7/8/8/mid - The all-round player in IF's lineup, plays smart. Lots of kills and deaths happen around and on Ra.
Custom
Ace - 3/5/5/5/mid
Miner - 5/5/6/7/mid - I haven't seen custom play once this season so my ranking is based on pracs i've played against or with him now maybe if shiny would bench a not needed levi and play custom instead...
Matt - 6/8/5/6/mid
Blur - 6/7/5/6/mid - hasnt impressed me much
Pushead - 4/5/5/7/mid - The soldier
United
Masterlord
Ace - 9/5/9/5/off
Miner - 10/6/10/8/off - best weasel in iml at the moment and probaly United's best player
Matt - 8/3/9/7/off - A tough, laggy player who knows how to get medieval. You have to wonder how much of his success is due to lag, but you can't deny his aim. Tough competitor.
Blur - 7/6/9/8/off - sets up eside and kills alot; not sure about his solidity very late in the game, but he is a big reason united is where they are.
Plutorous - 9/7/8/7/off - lays it all out, gamebreaker, one way or the other, good pilot
Pushead - 8/4/9/6/off - Nooone runs over people with such complete disregard for their pride like master
EsideBob
Ace - 7/1/5/9/mid
Miner - 8/4/8/9/mid - united's 2nd best player, he wasn't the best pro player(mr wise) in reg season last season for nothing
Matt - 8/5/8/8/mid - I wish we had a dodging category, because eside has some of the slickest defensive moves in SS. Seems like he can push a lot without his opponents being able to push back. Solid player who gets many kills just because pissed opps can't hit him.
Blur - 8/4/9/8/off - stays alive and kills - everything you can ask for
Plutorous - 7/5/7/10/mid - Very possibly the best player in IML
Pushead - 6/1/8/8/mid - Every squad should have one of these
Valence
Ace - 2/5/4/6/mid
Miner - 5/5/5/8/def - most ppl would say that valence is united's weakest link but i disagree, while he may not be on the same lvl of the above 3 he is very hard to kill and targeting would be an error without taking care of master and dk first
Matt - 6/6/6/7/mid
Pushead - 3/4/6/7/mid
Deathknight
Ace - 7/4/9/6/off
Miner - 7/7/9/8/off - dk is the 2nd weasel and provides added damage to the already devastating offense of united
Matt - 8/8/8/6/off
Blur - 7/7/6/7/mid - can choke but can also make a play for you
Plutorous - 7/5/7/6/mid - Has a much higher opinion of himself than everyone else, apparently...
Pushead - 5/7/6/5/off
Vega
Blur - 5/6/6/7/mid - old guy, but doesnt seem to be doing that much for united
Plutorous - 8/8/5/6/mid
Money
Leathal
Ace - 8/1/9/7/off
Miner - 5/5/8/8/mid - Who would have guessed Seismic would play IML for money, it's not goaty or nova the reason money is playing this well its mr. sharingan right here
Matt - 7/4/8/8/off - Seismic is a very solid player who keeps his team together. Lots of low death games due to his pro experience. Seems to have a bit of a flaky personality, as evidenced by his message board posts.
Blur - 7/4/8/8 mid - best player on money easily, possibly best in iml
Plutorous - 8/4/8/7/off - Does a great job at steering the Money ship, does tons of damage
Pushead - 7/1/9/7/mid - A man among mice
Esidebob - 9/4/9/9/mid - Leathal is a driving force behind most
plays the Money team makes. The grinding tooth for a successful
Money.
Terro
Ace - 7/6/7/5/mid
Miner - 5/6/6/8/off - Nova is underachieving a lot I think he's just rusty and plays too much wz now but he needs to practice more or else he'll be a liability in playoffs
Matt - 8/6/8/7/off - Terro is a tough competitor with excellent aim. Usually reliable. Doesn't seem like the guy to break a game open, though.
Blur - 5/7/6/7/mid - dies sometimes with reps, but has experience and can hang with any team
Plutorous - 7/5/7/7/mid - not the player he was in past seasons, maybe literally
Pushead - 5/4/7/7/off
Use the LAG Luke!
Ace - 2/3/4/7 def
Miner - 6/7/8/6/off - Just like Nova, Goaty needs to practice more and stop playing wz he's very rusty
Matt - 7/6/7/8/off - Goaty is a force in the weasel. Just comes in at full speed and hits a lot. Really have to hit this guy hard to get him to back off.
Blur - 4/6/5/7/mid - only weasel on money, setup guy
Plutorous - 6/6/6/6/mid - Not the player he's been in the past
Pushead - 6/3/7/7/off
Etholene
Ace - 2/2/4/7/def
Miner - 4/8/5/6/mid - slasher is an outstanding wz player but he's very rusty in league play when he used to play for Outlaws back in pro
Matt - 6/6/6/6/def
Blur - 3/2/4/6/def - doesnt do much on offense but ends up with a 0 in the loss column
Pushead - 3/5/5/6/def
Mutiny
Pushead
Ace - 3/7/5/6/mid
Miner - 7/5/7/7/mid - Push, what a guy. I'll take this time to applaud pushead's effort in trying to change the racism policy against all the odds and verbally telling ace to step down even if he's pussy whipped by voltage.
Matt - 7/5/8/7/off - Pus is a prototypical warbird damage-based player. Good aim, makes shots naturally. Works well within a team.
Blur - 6/5/8/7/mid - good knowledge of the game and great experience.. he'd target anyone as soon as look at them
Plutorous - 5/7/7/7/mid
Pushead - 5/2/8/4 mid (again rank someobosdy else, not yourself!!!)
Esidebob - 8/8/8/8/mid - Pushead is a smart player. He does
not always seem sure of himself, but when he does, he is a real
asset for his team.
Tardcart
Ace - 7/3/8/8/off
Miner - 6/4/8/8/off - good offensive bird player, knowing when to kill and not to die makes him an above avg player
Matt - 8/5/8/6/off - Tard can break open a game with his charges. Good player who makes plays happen often. Can be targeted because of his aggression, though.
Blur - 6/6/8/6/mid - seems to get kills, but i dont really fear his aim in game. seems more like a cleanup guy than hardcore killer
Pushead - 7/4/9/3/off - Knows exactly when to make the move, Tard is the definition of clutch
Killdawg
Ace - 2/5/4/5/def
Matt - 7/8/7/6/off - Killdawg is decent but I think he's overrated and choke prone. Nice guy but hasn't seemed to improve much in the past few years.
Blur - 4/7/7/6/mid
Plutorous - 5/6/7/6/mid - Player on the rise, needs more experience
Pushead - 4/5/6/5/mid
Jimbobwey
Miner - 6/5/7/8/mid - jim has one of the best names in subspace and that would explain why they target him so much, jealousy is dangerous . he's playing pb more this days but he can still rep and not bounce into walls by mistake
Spell
Artisian
Ace - 6/5/7/7/mid
Miner - 4/7/6/mid - another wz player, besides his huge choke in ot a few games ago he's one of the best players in iml but lack of exp(read krell) hurts the team a lot and thus artisan
Matt - 9/7/8/6/off. Artisan is always fun to watch with his in-your-face style. He's all about matching speed with whoever's closest, unloading on them, then bouncing off like a rabid superball to do it again. Good player.
Blur - 7/7/8/6/off - CRAZY MOTHER FUCKER
Plutorous - 8/8/6/6/off
Pushead - 7/4/8/7mid - Arti gets my vote for the comeback player of the year
Anamalech
Ace - 5/7/6/6/off
Miner - 6/5/8/7/off - Before starting i've always wanted to tell anamalech the following with full authorization from each member of his subspace squadron: Anamalech you're a queer. Now that that's been sorted out we can continue.
Matt - 8/7/9/7/off - Best damage stats in IML, but seems to be choke prone in actual matches. If he got his head on straight and stopped being a mangina in games, he could be one of the best.
Blur - 7/5/8/8/mid - easily best player on spell; good dueler with an excellent understanding of the game. he would probably be one of the highest rated if he sold out and joined a top squad
Plutorous - 7/6/6/6/off - Does crazy amounts of damage, but doesnt get the kills...player on the rise
Pushead - 6/4/7/6/off
Esidebob - 8/5/9/8/off - Good aim, able player. Not dumb.
Parabola
Ace - 3/7/5/5/def
Miner - 4/6/6/6mid - Same situation as krellin didnt perform well in aml but playing much better in iml, yet again lack of league exp is hurting him
Pushead - 4/7/5/5/def
Diablo
Ace - 3/4/4/6/def
Miner - 5/6/5/7/mid - krellin is one of those players where they dont play as expected in aml but cover that gap in iml but the lack of league exp is whats hurting not only krel but the whole team(ie: spell losing close games)
Matt - 6/7/6/7/off - Diablo is a pretty good player, but he doesn't stand out next to Anam and Art. Good support player but dies every time he tries to be a hero.

Upset of the week goes to Spell over Money w/ a close second being In Flames over Nightwatch. Next week should tell if preseason weirdness was a fluke. Let's review the results and realign the rankings:
#1 (Diss) defs #? (Balls) - Ball had some lag issues, but even that minor slip was enough for this championship gunning Diss team to pound their point home. Insult to injury after the last minute come-from-behind victory by Diss in the CZL finals yesterday.
#2 (Creat) defs #8 (Rebs) - Slow and steady solid victory over an esidebobless rebs. Creation comes out of preseason with a flawless record. Do not doubt my rankings!
#7 (Mut) defs #13 (DW) - This turned out to be the defensive game of the week going into overtime even after DW had a slot choke out at 4-3.
#5 (Spell) defs #3 (Mon) - Minor upset here w/ Artisan making some key early kills. MoR (Moment of Rant): aliases are fucking retarded in all ways, I'm glad some guy named "Use the LAG Luke!" choked hard. Feel free to post everyone's aliases on the iml board, anyone, please?
#4 (Bad) defs #9 (Foods) - This match lasted 17 mins and 23 seconds longer than it takes semi to masturbate. This one was over in record time w/ match at 6-5 14 mins into it before the fluffster got flattened.
#14 (Secr) defs #10 (Llams) - Secret gets their much needed first victory in a solid route of the humpless dromedaries.
#12 (Emb) defs #11 (Friend) - Emblem gets their first win here as FF gets blanked 0-3 in the preseason. Numpf w/ the record of the week at 8-1!
#15 (IF) defs #6 (NW) - Ok, ok, doubt my rankings. I.F. (are they any good?) starting to get things together. And I fear that NW will fall to a middle-tier team this season.

Every match was a closeout this week with a large margin in every victory. The closest match was probably Dragonwings vs Emblem. It can be argued that preseason means nothing, especially when rosters aren't locked yet, but there's no doubt that it gives a lot of clues as to how far squads need to go this season to compete for #1.
Let's take a look at the results and revised rankings...definitely some upsets this week.
Going down the list:
#? (BALL) defeats #2 (Money) - After a resounding pounding of bad, Money gets stopped short this week. Dueling spiders made this an interesting match at the outset.
#1 (Diss) def. #13 (Secret) - Pempu had a bad day w/ two deaths in the opening minutes of the game that set the pace for the rest of the game. Dissent steamrolled through a second week.
#3 (Creation) defs #7 (Foodons) - Don't Talk to Me opened the match w/ the 1st three kills and lead his team to a solid overpowering victory.
#11 (Rebs) defs #9 (llams) - Minor upset here w/ Rebs showing a bit more muster in their muzzles than expected. Actually, they picked up esidebob out of nowhere and now are a solid contendor.
#14 (dragon) defs #12 (emblem) - zoldan had a bad day w/ two deaths in the opening minutes, and still emblem held on strong to a 5-5 before slipping out on the weak slot. Another minor upset here.
#8 (Mut) defs #10 (Friendly) - Kylec was the fallguy this time with the double deaths early. Mut closed out clean after that.
#6 (Spell) defs #15 (Flames) - I'm not sure what the predictors (20-14 IF) were smoking on this one, but Spell is active as hell and has their shit together while IF is still introducing themselves to each other.
#5 (bad) defs #4 (nw) - nw came back from a 7-0 defecit to make match 7-5 before finally succumbing. NW is infamous for their comeback victories, but their roster took some hits and inactivity plagues them...if they want to compete at the top this season they need to recruit another solid, active player or two at least for pracs.

No huge surprises or big upsets to speak of yet (unless you consider the ball vs nw match). Here's some results and revised squad rankings.
#9 (Foodons) defeats #8 (Mutiny) in a very close match. Even w/ the early choke Mut almost came back.
#14 (Secret) defeats #16 (In Flames). Welcome to iml IF.
#13 (Rebels) defeats #12 (Emblem). Tied at 7-7 23 minutes into the match....pretty close teams here too.
#5 (Creation) defeats #15 (DragonWings). Almost a huge upset here. Creation still not gellin' and DW looking to prove something...but it takes a superior team to make a comeback from 0-4. GG both teams.
#11 (Llamas) defeats #10 (Friendly). Tied at 5-5 35 minutes into the match...definitely closely paired teams, but NoCarbon's clutch knockout sealed llamas fate.
#4 (Money) defeats #6 (Bad). Etholene choked out fresh to an early 0-2 slot to make this a blowout. Bad 1/2 game closer to implosion.
#? (Balls) defeats #3 (NW). Inactivity will sorely affect NW early in this season...will they pull it together?
#2 (Dissent) defeats #7 (Spell). Was a pretty straightforward ownage here. Spell needs more players.
Revised Rankings - slightly skewed shift due to RS moving up.

Let me begin by saying I honestly don't know what I'm talking about...these are just vague gut instinct opinions with little or no evidence...I simply don't have the time to sit down and write fun stuff as much as I'd like but I still want to contribute to the preseason mayhem. I'll leave my own squad out of the rankings so others have a chance at being in the cool mystery slot. Enjoy.
#1 Redshift - Going Pro?
#2 Dissent - One of the deeper rosters in the league. Lot of chemistry, very competitive. Bench has some choke potential.
#3 Nightwatch - Haven't been as active as usual lately, but if they pull it together will be a force this season as they were last season.
#4 Money - Kind of a wild card team. Lot of potential, but dedication may be absent.
#5 Creation - One of the more active squads currently. Not consistent yet, but putting in solid pracs. If they solidify could make an appearance in playoffs.
#6 Bad - A couple decent mid level (and maybe 1 or 2 high level) talents on this squad, but also a lot of ego looking for skill as well. Implosion level = orange alert.
#7 Spell - Thin but decent roster. Could be a force with another couple decent pilots.
#8 Mutiny - Good start on the roster, but not deep enough to carry them to the top in iml.
#9 Fighting Foodons - Medium-sized roster with no particular standouts and some egos to disrupt their flow.
#10 Friendly Fire - Not too much different from last season but recruited some potential from aml...good and bad.
#11 Llamasery - Couple decent pilots in there, but not enough dedicated players for a solid starting four.
#12 Emblem - Have some lag power, but a slim roster and no obviously consistent starters.
#13 Rebels - I predict a lot of trash talk but little results from these guys.
#14 Secret - Looks like their was a rift of some kind, this team isn't looking healthy for this season...I assume they'll be looking to recruit a bit.
#15 DragonWings - Hastily assembled team of casual minutemen. Have a couple ok players, but doubt they'll find chemistry this season.
It Takes One Man, The Fall of BoP

It takes one man to make a difference.
This man, is required to uplift his squadmates. He is required to manage his team efficiently and with respect for individual talent. He is required to prepare his team for tough matches. Fairness, honor, and game strategy should be his only concerns.
It is such a man, that can make all the difference.
Sumi, the Captain of the now plundering Birds of Prey (BoP), has not.
The Birds of Prey are a very talented and hungry squad. Designator leads BoP as the best active player and future IML League star*. Paired with Warpt; the duo is able to capture many kills and control the pace of any match. Supporting the starring cast are Schlong and Lurp. Heavily under-rated, Schlong & Lurp provide distance lobbing and lethal EMP strikes which allow BoP to be a competitive force.
*Designator is also the assistant captain and scouting agent for BoP. His duty is to scout squad mates in order to help Sumi devise a starting line up. He has failed tremendously and I would rather be scouted by a chicken than by Desig "My ego is growing like my tanking ability" nator.
The BoP starters: Designator, Warpt, Schlong, and Lurp
Captain: Sumi
Assistant Captain: Designator
Where is the strategy?
'The scheduling board of course.'
Sumi is perhaps the most arrogant, ignorant, and inexperienced SubSpace captain in league history. His tactics include: deception, trickery, and lying. Nothing more.
I took the time to read some of the scheduling posts Sumi was involved in. I was surprised when I learned that many of my now former squadies play Powerball. I entered Subspace, and asked Sumi if we had any active players on Powerball rosters and his response, “fuck them, I am going to play dirty” made it abundantly clear that we did not.
Needless to say, I was ashamed.
I began debating with Sumi and suggested that we meet Money at a reasonable time to earn our win, and our respect. My efforts were to no avail. I found myself, as usual, speaking on behalf of myself as no other BoP member supported me. So, like any good pilot should do, I remained loyal to my bench and congratulated Sumi on a job well done. If you play for Sumi in the future, remember that you have to be his pet (Designator) in order to earn playing time. Disagree with Sumi and forget about playing. My apologies to Money on behalf of myself as I was not able to convince Sumi that he had a pair of kahonies.
This is the extent of Sumi’s skill as an IML League captain.
The plot gets thicker….
Match time, is an exciting time for any squad. Heartbeats are elevated and stomachs are turned. Many fine squads are practicing their starters and their subs. BoP, however, is not. Sumi is very stubborn and will not listen to ideas or suggestions that could benefit the squad and it’s members. Key decisions are made on “gut feelings” with little or no consideration to strategy. I am sorry, I was inaccurate. There is a piece of strategy devised by Sumi that I forgot to mention:
Sumi> “I am starting Schlong because he lags and will be able to tank a lot of their bombs”.
When met with a loss, Sumi's initial response is to blame 1 person on the squad. There is no discussion of strategy, there is no encouraging debate or discussion that would allow individuals to improve their skills and be ready for next time.
The list of blamed BoP pilots is long. However, "Sumi" is not on that list.
I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to entice Sumi into discussing strategy but was only met with rants and raves about his achievements on the Scheduling board.
Sumi does not understand the value of substitution and his loss to Money, is a perfect example of why this squad will continue to fail. Sumi does not use subs. BoP played an impressive first half taking a huge lead over Money and as time progressed, BoP starters began to tire, lose reps, and die.
Where are the subs?
'The scheduling board of course.'
I expressed my concerns and was ignored. Money began to pick up momentum taking full control of the game. I lost my temper and repeatedly asked Sumi to sub player X, as he was not attacking. Sub player Y because he has no reps. Sub player Z so that we can have a rep and player advantage.
My requests were met with "HE DID NOT DIE YET", in capitals.
I will now take the time, to ask any good IML captain:
"What is wrong with this picture?"
A) Money is sitting in the hole, no players to sub, no reps, and facing a huge BoP lead.
B) BoP starters have done their job. They are tired, rep-less, and facing death. BoP subs are eagerly waiting to play, hungry, confident, and determined to beat Money.
Do they get the opportunity?
NO.
As the match progressed, Money came back from a monumental deficit and tied leaving many BoP starters with 2 deaths. By this time, BoP was fast on their heels as Money was swooping in one by one taking advantage of the now tired, and defeated BoP starters.
A tough loss could have been avoided quite easily if Sumi took time out from the scheduling board and learned the importance of using Subs.
Of course, Sumi blamed me for the loss (Ghost Dog) as I subbed in with 1 min remaining to the no specials sub mark. I was very angry, not thinking clearly, and yes, I choked. I will admit it. How could I not? I spent the entire match pulling out my hair watching a huge BoP advantage disappear. To add insult to injury, my concerns were answered with. "HE DID NOT DIE YET". How am I to take the blame for the loss that could have so easily been avoided by good strategy from a good captain? That is the reason why I left BoP immediately after the loss. BoP does not have a good captain. BoP does not have a good assistant captain. BoP, only has angry players who have privately discussed their departure plans.
BoP Facts:
- Konhero has not played one game.
- Bad Logo has only played a few.
- Designator never subs, and always starts. When asked to sub, his response is "no".
- Bad Logo, Don Cherry, and Myself (Ghost Dog) have voluntarily subbed out to give other members of BoP an opportunity and to build a rep and player advantage.
Was our example followed?
No.
Why?
'The scheduling board of course.'

A player, who is able to, rise above the insults of an entire league, and prove himself when it counts, is a player, worth mentioning.
A shaky and inconsistent start was not enough to quell the experience, and bench value, which this pilot is beginning to demonstrate.
A player, who flew alongside, some of the greats and old of pro, is beginning to make his presence felt in IML.
Falsehood, in what was a foolish move, decided to leave Tweaked. Leaving his squad mates, with a near impossible task of making the playoffs, his reputation that he earned as a valuable roster pilot, has changed. Falsehood will be a great player someday, but he has much to learn. Following a MCP performance of 1 – 3 versus the Hawks, the embarrassment he felt, when his M-Rater obsession took a new low, is evident of why he chose to blame Inca, and leave the squad.
His reputation will now be of an ego driven pilot, and pilots, such as Falsehood, belong in PRO league. I hope his good fortunes find him a spot on a bench, where the captain is not overly concerned for his ego, or his inability to remain loyal to a bench. Falsehood has much to learn. Above all, this pilot, who has shown an impressive level of skill and lag, needs to learn the rules of team play. You live together, and you die together. He left his squad mates stranded and I bid him farewell.
It is, for this reason, and many more, that I have decided to name Psyanide as the IML player of the weekend. With a stunning victory over Spell, Tweaked fought back from a 1 man down disadvantage to win the game in Overtime. Psyanide, delivered the final dagger in Spell’s playoff hopes, and a player, who is capable of crushing an entire squad, which is, what he did, deserves respect. Falsehood was not in the line up, and Psyanide, with the help of Ahmed took it upon himself to destroy his former reputation of “Chokeanide” with a clutch performance that will always remain in the memory of Spell pilots and the IML spec freq.
What awaits Tweaked in the future?
Disappointment.
Tweaked will make a strong playoff run, but with a deep lack of bench depth, their efforts will fall short. Psyanide and AhmedF have both stepped up to the challenge, but without the help of Falsehood, the future looks uncertain.
Congratulations to Psy.
