AML Season VII Season Wrap Up
| AML END OF SEASON WRAP UP! | Well, it was a wild season, and with all the trials and tribulation we finally have a winner. Congrats to BlackNike for winning the Championship, it was a long hard fight for all teams this season, and even though the season was run in questionable fashion, there is no question at all that this season had plenty of entertaining match-ups.
End of Season Awards
Regular Season MVP: Noobed
Runner-up: Crunchy
Noobed proved to be truly one of the most consistant pilots for his team this year. BUNNER having a break out season, proving that they can build a team to win. Noobed walked away with 3 MVPs in the regular season, and another in the exhibition rounds. Included in that is a 6-1 effort in a loss to BlackNike. Noobed's performance truly made a difference in BUNNER rise in the regular season.
Crunchy was both a leader, and a performer this season, stepping up big time for his small, tight knit group of friends. Llamas rised along with BUNNER in an impressive season, both of which are preceeded by very poor seasons. Big turn arounds lead by big time key players.
Post Season MVP: wups
Runner-up: ManDude
Consistant and solid play from wups helped carry BN into the finals. Close games against No Data, and Blasphemy were decided by solid play by both players (MD and wups). wups walks away with the most mvps, but the decision was close as both players showed clutch performances when needed.
Most Valuable Lagger Euro: Tin Cup
Runner-up: Meditation
Tin Cup was exactly what No Data needed this season. Along with other acquisitions, Tin Cup managed to do some major damage this season. With the momentum generated this season, look out for this line up again.
Alcoholism is starting to make a mark in AML, albeit slow and painful, they can still keep teams honest. In a season or two, I forsee Alcoholism a force, and its all thanks to Meditation's dedication.
Most Valuable Choker: ChronicFlash
Runner-up: ShadowSteve:
Well, I hate to say it, but CF got majorly waxed this season. Blitzed had the talent, but lacked any drive at all. Given all this, CF showed to most the games, and had a less than impressive season.
ShadowSteve had a poor season, and a 30 day ban in alpha for being a goober to boot. GG.
Most Valuable Captain: AWOL
Runner-up: Crunchy
BN's winning effort had the driving force of AWOL as not only a captain, but a front wall of defense. Scheduling, trash talking, and all the fireworks that was the BN Show... Along with that AWOL kept the team active, praccing, and pushing forward.
Crunchy managed to bring together a very small roster and push their way into the playoffs. His efforts were visible on the field and from teh bench.
Most Valuable Asst. Captain: Felony
Runner-up: sKink
Often times the Asst. Captain gets overlooked in their role. Often times they can be the navigators, or the experience that gives their team the winning edge. Felony had the experience, and the presence to help give Blasphemy an impressive run all season long.
sKink pulls yet another solid season out with No Data, and shows that he can still pull out clutch performances, accompanied with clutch leadership on the field.
Most Valuable Bencher: The Real Picard
Runner-up: AnalIntruder
If it weren't for TRP, I don't think anyone would have bothered speccing a single Master game. The possibility of him actually playing drew a crowd, but much to our disappointment, no sign.. or maybe a brief one, I think I missed it.
AnalIntruder gave the spec freq some anxiety with rumors of starting, but to no avail. No lanc lobbage this season... at least I think, again.. might have missed it.
Most Valuable Lamer: Wish Master )!(
Runner-up: Don Cherry
Wish showed that lobbing just doesn't get old for some people. The tactic is slowly dying however, those who use are dying fast.
I was disappointed that there was no cloak turret.. Possibly it was Ferrum's best chance. I'll pretend like they did, and give this to their driver Don Cherry.
Most Valuable Predictor: Drug Against War
Runner-up: a_tool
Yea, so I created an award just to give to myself... this is the benefit of doing these things you know. My preds were consistant, my rankings were pretty accurate all season. I deserve this... I'd like to thank the little people the most.
a_tool's flash preds own all, nuff said.
Most Valuable Non-Rostered Player: Tomatoes
Runner-up: Demishadow
Tomatoes had an impressive board and prac presence for someone who quit Subspace a season ago. heh.
Demishadow kept an eye on things in his still new retirement, thanks for the aid.
Jackass of the Season: High Voltage
Runner-up: Sephiroso
Stupid people, go figure. You'd think he would have gotten the hint, but I guess some people just need this pointed out. GG HV.
Its not to say that Seph is a jackass.. so much as the whole backfire of the "we're back" idea yet again. Dis choked pretty good, and sadly ate a lot of their words.
Most Valuable Hothead: AWOL
Runner-up: Don Cherry
AWOL's hot temper paid off as the trash talking and skill back up proved to be the key to BN's rise to the top. Short one liners, along with calculated stabs made AWOL's presence felt all around.
Don cherry gets the runner up based purely on remaining on Ferrum after ?squadleaving mid match and speccing with lives left, and throwing a tantrum all the while.
THE WRATH OF GOD AWARD: Idiosyncrasy
Runner-up: Integral
To the 2 squads that defied all odds, I salute you both. For Idio they played an impressive Cinderella. For Integral, they showed that even with a roster chock full of talent, you can still lose games if none of that talent shows.
Snohoma Achievement Award
This award goes to the player who had the most memorable performance in the season. A truly remarkable and memorable moment in Amateur League History
-= Aiti's 8-0 Performance vs. Mutiny =-
In an otherwise ruitine game, Mutiny fell under the fury of Aiti's mass killing spree. Arenas began to empty as people heard of his carnage. It was truly a memorable moment.
