Season Champions

Congratulations to all of the winners for this season of Premier, we know it was a very different season indeed. Lots of exciting moments and as always plenty of fun.
The next season has already gotten under way for Pro, AML and IML are starting back up within the next week. Champions this season earned their titles and we wish them luck in the next season where they either defend their titles or move up to the tougher leagues.

Once again Congrats to the following teams for winning the championships.

IML Finals

The first 2 games of the Intermediate League Finals Series between Dissent and Intrinsic will begin at 4:30pm. Game 2 is scheduled for 5:30pm. Good luck to both of our finalist teams!

Notice about "powered" names

There is a change in the policy for premier league on the use of "powered names" (mod, smod, sysop). Any name that is included in either the mod, smod, or sysop list should not be found on any premier league roster. This goes for all premier league staff/refs, chaos staff, dz staff and misc staff.

This change is not based around any lack of confidence or abuses of such powers but as a move to prevent any future accidents that may occur (such as accidently using a reffing macro, or having sysop turned on during your own matches). As this has typlically been one of the "nicer" perks associated with the power/responsibility we hold as staff I sincerely regret taking it away. However, it is time for premier to once again step into the new environment we find ourselves in, one with an ever increasing demand of professionalism. Once again its time to set such an example ;)

My top suggestion is to have an alias for your rostered name. MRBots (when in contact with the DB) will make sure you dont accidently use the incorrect name for your match. You are free (and encouraged) to still practice and spend the majority of your online time with your powered names.

This is not in effect for the few remaining IML games this season. It will be in effect for all three leagues next season (prem season 9).

Once again, I am sorry to all my colleagues for forcing this. It is not meant to be a sign of distrust or disrespect.

(To those who have "trolled" about this... please comprehend that this was something already on the table before that. The trolling only acted to polarize the population and damage the zone/league. There is a way to promote positive change... and a good deal of what I saw was not it)
