Daylight Savings Time Switch
General News by Ace on October 25, 2004 at 10:18 PM

Please tell everyone you know that the U.S. and Europe will lift daylight-saving time (DST) from 2:00 a.m. on Oct. 31 (local time). Accordingly, in those countries, the time will be set one hour back to 1:00 a.m. when the clock stands at 2:00 a.m. on Oct. 31. This has a direct impact on all match times as all matches will be played one hour later than if there were no time change. If your country or state does not recognize DST then expect to play matches or scheduled events one hour later than normal.

I'm amazed they don't mention the inconvenience to Subspacers in this essay: http://www.standardtime.com/.

Donation Request
General News by Ace on October 19, 2004 at 01:51 PM

Please note that we are no longer accepting donations, the quota was met -- Everyone thank Barbarian for the new board upgrade and lifetime license.

So far we've been lucky the board hasn't been harassed for a while, but we can't guarantee it doesn't have holes without regular updates from the company. I have enough licenses purchased through business clients through IPB that I can get us the reduced rate from $69.95 to $40 (annual) or from $199.00 to $149.00 (lifetime). If people would like to donate for the latest and greatest board updates for a more secure platform that would be great. If we reach our goal, all donators of at least $10 will receive credit, get their own 50meg email address @ssleague.net, and get their own private forum (for their squad or whatever) on the upgraded board.

Stats Update
General News by Pushead on October 06, 2004 at 04:58 PM

PRAC stats are now back online! I will be resetting them at the beginning of each month to keep resources free. I will be keeping the monthly prac data in text files starting now, so you will still be able to view the Top 50 prac players for every month from here on in. Here's to being more consistent in your practices. Players beware, Captains can now easily see just how much (or how little) you've been practicing during the week.

Thanks to several modifications in the way the pages are created/displayed along with the recent cleanup of the old PRAC stats, MasterRater has become speedy, efficient, and much more responsive. You should notice improvements accross the board, but most of all in the Player Stats section of the site. You can sort the stats by category and display 50, 100 .. even all of the stats faster than ever before. This is all part of an ongoing movement to create a more comprehensive and exciting statistical presentation.

Also, there is a new rule that has gone into effect for this season in order to deter players from just speccing at the end of a match to "save" their stats (Underlord and 0nethervoid made this popular last season). Any player who specs to save their stats, even if a loss is imminent, will be assigned the remaining deaths for that slot. This rule applies to all 3 divisions of Premier League.
