General News by Ace on September 25, 2004 at 01:37 PM

It's that time of the season again! We have a clearance sale on old and busted refs to make room for the new 2005 lineup!

If you're interested in becoming an active Ref (oh please dear god help us, please please say you'll help) we ask that you rush over to our handy-dandy application form and sign up today!

Benefits include:
1> Virtual thanks!
2> That "+" everyone keeps talking about.
3> A league that doesn't come to a grinding halt due to lack of help.

Good luck!

AML - Adding new players to roster
AML News by Demishadow on September 10, 2004 at 11:08 PM

For AML tick will be the primary contact person to email if you want to add players to your roster. Please make sure to include:

Players Name
Players Email
- Statement that indicates that the player is not currently on any roster (aml, iml, or pro).

ticks email: ticklets [at] gmail [dot] com

Please make sure to allow time between emailing the request and your games.

Roster deletions are NOT allowed.

-------------
2.2 Player movement between teams in season

Players will not be allowed to change squads once round one has begun. A player is said to be on a squad if they are sitting on its roster once the first game of the season has been played. This is regardless of if the player ever actually played for the team. New players not currently on rosters will be allowed to join squads until the end of round four (Sunday midnight EST).

Boards
General News by Ace on September 09, 2004 at 08:58 PM

They were poked again by another hermaphroditic child. I'll be working on getting the backup (5 days old) up asap with a hole-plugged forum to avoid further exploits in the near future.

After the backup is restored--all admins, it is ESSENTIAL that you change your pwords immediately to something at least 8 characters long with letters and numbers mixed up, thanks.

Anyone else that cares about there account should do the same.

Aliasing...
General News by Demishadow on September 03, 2004 at 02:11 PM

Up until this sunday all the information I have in my databases will locked and secured. All information from then on will be stored in a new database. This information will only be recorded if you play in a premier league practice or game.

However, this database will not be subject to the same alias-protection regulations that follow its predecessor. All your ID information (ip, id, etc) will still be held secure (non public) but this database will be used to help match up strong (multi-criteria matching) aliases.

In more general terms:
Starting at round1/sunday if you want to keep any aliases secret then do not play in any practices/matches with any other name. A service will eventually be provided that will let people search on names to see a list of aliases that match that name.

Why is this being done? 3 reasons:
i) We are following a general tread that is seen in other zones.
ii) It allows the public to play a role in keeping dbl squadders on their toes. With money involved, this is all that much more important.
iii) It makes it easier to catch the "namechange and disturb" rule breakers.
